4.Hollywood's 'True Story' movie is a lie

Proposition: Hollywood produces great movies, but they don't always tell the truth even it is based on 'True Stories'. Provide at least two (2) premises or counter arguments for the proposition. Write in complete paragraph(s)

When a movie is made in Hollywood, people usually expect it to be great and well made and movies that are said to be based on 'True Story' are believed to be true. But we didn't know that 'True Story' movies is never the complete truth from the real story behind it, Hollywood loves interesting and profitable story but 'True Story' are plain and somehow cliche and to make it how Hollywood loves, the story is changed and twist on certain parts.

To support the statement of argument, as cited by Lubisi (Bertino 2009) the director of 'The Strangers' claiming that it was based on true story admitted in an interview " the movie was in fact not based on true events. Bertino mentioned to the media that he got the idea for the movie by recalling a series of break-ins that took place in his childhood home and on his research about the notorious Mason family killings. Not only is this a highly deceptive way to attract an audience but it is a blatant lie that deceptively evokes real emotion from people, who are unaware of the fiction behind it." This proved that Hollywood does lie when making 'True Story' based movie to make it more interesting and profitable.

So does any of scene in 'True Story' based movie are real? According to (Jefferson 2012) from gawker.com "I asked for an explanation of what a movie must do to be able to sell itself as being based on a true story. "Is there a minimum percentage of truth that needs to be in the plot?" I asked. The MPAA's response: "The MPAA Advertising Administration does not determine whether a film is designated to be 'based on true events'—that is the purview of the producer or distributor of the film." There you have it, based on 'True Story' movie is a bogus marketing gimmick, regulated by none, designed to attract an audience that is increasingly obsessed with nonfictional works. But that didn't mean we can't go to see movies and enjoy them, just bare in mind that pretty much all movie you see is at least fractionally a lie even documentaries.
